Snow, Scout, Butternut squash and butterflies

These folks raised their own flock of butterflies.  We went to feed Scout and the chickens and found a note with an instruction leaflet, 'please feed the butterflies'.  They had come as a kit form with 4/5 chrysalis attached to a net in a clear plastic tub.  After a couple of day in the warmth of a house, the butterflies start to hatch and sit still for a day whilst the wings expand.  Feeding them involved picking a flower or two from the garden each day and covering them with a nectar made with sugary water.  The flowers were placed gently on the floor of the tub, the butterflies then fed themselves when ready.  On the families return, the children released the fledged butterflies in the garden!

No butterflies yet!

See you next Sunday,

A duck, a skunk and a deer went out for dinner at a restaurant one night. When it came time to pay, the skunk didn’t have a scent, the deer didn’t have a buck so they put the meal on the duck’s bill.

Fluffy Duffy and visitor

Some of our followers told us they had problems subscribing, so we have added a fix enabling you to follow us by email.  Hope this is useful.

We had an instruction from these owners similar to last weeks, this time it was 'watch out for the pheasant on the decking'.  A very territorial pheasant roamed the garden!

My name is Fluffy Duffy

Here I am celebrating Christmas!

A regular visitor, we are not sure where his permanent home is, known to us as Ginger Tom Tom

This weeks joke

Pablo Picasso came home and surprised a burglar in his house.  The burglar fled the scene but Picasso was able to draw a sketch to help the Police identify him.  From this sketch, the Police arrested a cat, an ostrich, a camel and the Eiffel Tower.

Don't turn your back on Eric!'

The first information received from these owners included the instruction 'don't turn your back on Eric'.   It turned out Eric was the cockerel, with aggressive tendencies and sharp claws, who would try and jump on you if given half a chance!
Needless to say we kept him firmly to our front!

Here are some of their current animals
